B.F.F. = God

‍Is God your B.F.F. (Best Friend Forever)?

Did you know… He can be?

Yes—it’s possible.

Staying close to God like a friend in the flesh is something we can do.

But how does that actually happen?

________________________________________

It starts with a mindset shift.

We take what we know about friendships here on earth… and apply it to our relationship with God.

Let me explain.

________________________________________

Women need friends.

We talk things out.

We process life.

We share everything—blab, blab, blab 😊

And that’s okay—we’re made that way.

________________________________________

But here’s where it can go sideways…

When we constantly look to other people to fill us with:

• reassurance

• confidence

• understanding

• solutions

We can become dependent on them in a way that was never meant to be.

________________________________________

I’ve been there.

Looking to others to fill the emptiness, to fix what I was feeling inside.

And honestly?

It gets exhausting… and a little crazy.

________________________________________

That’s when I realized something had to change.

👉 God needed to fill those places in me—not another person.

So the question becomes:

How do I make God my B.F.F.?

________________________________________

Just like any relationship…

👉 It takes time.

You don’t become best friends overnight.

You build it by:

• Spending time together

• Talking

• Listening

• Sharing your thoughts

• Being honest

It’s no different with God.

“I have called you friends…” — John 15:15

________________________________________

God isn’t distant.

He wants relationship.

He wants connection.

He wants to be the One you go to first—not last.

________________________________________

Letting God become your B.F.F. will be the most important relationship in your life.

So take the challenge.

Give Him your time.

And watch what begins to grow.

Prayer

Father God, we love you and we know you love us. Help us feel your presence just like we do with close friends here on earth. Fill us with your love and joy. Help us know that we are worthy of the love you pour out. Teach us how to grow closer to you each day. Come and be our B.F.F. Amen.
