In the Morning

“Didn’t you sleep good last night?” my husband asked—twice in one week—as he greeted me while I sat in my favorite quiet place.

“Yes, I slept just fine. I’ve just been up for a while,” I replied, looking up from my Bible and sipping on my second cup of coffee.

I’m not quite sure why he asks, because he knows exactly where to find me each morning. He’s seen this routine for years.

Rising early has become a discipline in my life—not because it’s easy, but because of the results it brings.

And those results matter.

What Happens When You Start Your Day with God?

Starting your day with God doesn’t have to be complicated—but it is powerful.

It can:

• Anchor your day and give you stability in a complicated world

• Help you stay positive (well… most days 😊)

• Bring energy and focus as you center your thoughts

• Give clarity when life feels overwhelming

It’s not about doing it perfectly.

It’s about showing up consistently.

What Does This Look Like?

It might look like:

• Sitting with your Bible and a cup of coffee

• Whispering a prayer before the day begins

• Reading a verse and thinking about it throughout the day

• Simply being quiet and aware that God is with you

The key is not the length of time…

👉 It’s the intention of your heart.

A Simple Challenge

Will you give it a try?

Wake up just a little earlier.

Sit quietly.

Give God your attention—even if it’s just a few minutes.

Then watch what begins to shift in your day.

Keep loving God and giving Him your attention… especially in the morning.
