Living Aware of His Presence

Have you ever gone through your day and suddenly realized you haven’t thought about God once? You love Him, you pray, you read your Bible—but somehow the busyness of life just sweeps you away.

When I have days like those, I feel regret. But I get back to what is my normal routine of connecting with God in the middle of my ordinary, crazy day. He’s here right now. Just call on His name…. Jesus! I say His name to get my head back on straight, so I am aware of His presence and know I’m not in control.

Living aware of God’s presence isn’t about feeling something special; it’s about knowing something sure. Feelings come and go, but His promise doesn’t change—“I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20 NLT)

When we start to notice Him in the small moments—making coffee, sorting socks, driving to work—we begin to experience peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances. His presence doesn’t just visit us on Sundays; it walks with us every day.

You don’t have to do more to experience God’s presence— just notice the little things.

• Pause before your day starts and whisper, “You’re here, Lord.”

• Take a deep breath when stress hits and remind yourself, “You are here, you never leave me.”

• Worship while you’re washing dishes, and suddenly your kitchen becomes holy ground.

• The more you practice His presence, the more natural it becomes.

God’s presence isn’t a feeling to chase—it’s a truth to rest in. When you start to look for Him, you’ll find that He’s already been there, right beside you, the whole time.

The “Ordinary Moments” Journal Challenge

Each day this week, write down one simple moment when you noticed God’s presence—

maybe a song that encouraged you, a conversation that lifted your heart, or a quiet moment of gratitude.

By the end of the week, you’ll have a beautiful list of reminders that God is active in every part of your life.
